Ozzy Osbourne turns 65

Dec. 3, 2013

With his flair for over-the-top performances, party animal lifestyle, and longstanding reputation for striking fear in the hearts of parents and church groups everywhere, Ozzy Osbourne may seem ageless -- but today he's blowing out 65 candles on his birthday cake. The Prince of Darkness' professional career dates back to the late '60s, when he teamed up with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward to form Black Sabbath, and since then he's been generating as much controversy as he has headbang-worthy moments.

To celebrate this special occasion, Osbourne is encouraging fans to donate to the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, a cancer center and research organization who serves over 50,000 patients every year and has raised £100 million over the past 10 years to finance forward developments in cancer care. Elsewhere on the web, Noisecreep is sharing little-known facts about the metal monolith -- you'll never guess which First Lady loves his work.
