AllMusic Loves 2022 Reissues

While each year provides a wealth of new music that pushes boundaries and invents new sounds, we also have a particular love for the deluxe editions offering bonus tracks or demo versions, the live albums that get reissued (often for the first time), and the lavish boxed sets with meticulous liner notes, glossy books and rarely seen photos. Archival jazz releases had a particularly strong showing in 2022, with albums we loved by Charles Stepney, Donald Byrd, Ornette Coleman and an incredible set of recordings released as John Sinclair Presents Detroit Artists Workshop, and an inordinate number of releases by artists brought to you by the letter "B" (Beach Boys, Beatles, Blondie, Bowie, Broadcast).
